Services

My practice is based in a collaborative, exploratory approach. Maybe this is your first time talking to someone, or you could be bringing many years of experience in treatment. You might have a very specific goal; or, your goal might be a better understanding of your inner life and how you got here. Together, we can identify what you want to work on and how to go about achieving better understanding of your situation, more insight, and more healthy choices.

I have many years of experience working with college/ grad school students, as well as artists and young professionals. I was previously a therapist for 4+ years at Student Health and Counseling Services at the School of Visual Arts, New York. I know this is a critical and sometimes challenging time for many people, during which seeking help can be crucial. Common issues could include- identity/ career questions, adjustment away from home and family, navigating new friendships and relationships, issues around anxiety and procrastination, and the onset of common mental health challenges.

I am happy to schedule a complimentary consultation call to hear what’s bringing you into treatment, and to assess whether we feel like a good fit together. During the consultation, we can discuss things like payment, insurance, and any other questions you might have. I welcome you to reach out- I am still accepting new patients at this time.

Specialties Include:

Insurance & Fees

My fee for psychotherapy is based on a sliding scale. I have a limited number of lower fees, which are generally reserved for students or people undergoing economic hardship.

We can discuss the fee in our initial consultation and figure out a fee that works for both of us.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with Aetna and Optum (United, Oscar, Oxford) insurances. I can either bill these insurances directly for services, or provide a super-bill for you to submit.

I am an out-of-network provider for Wellfleet/Cigna, the student insurance plan for many local schools including NYU, SVA, and the Cooper Union. I can help process your claims and be paid directly from Wellfleet. You will be responsible for the co-insurance fee.

If you have another insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network coverage through your plan and your therapy may be covered in part or in full by your insurance plan. Be sure to check your coverage carefully. Here are some good questions for when you speak with your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible?

  • How much is it and how much has been met?

  • What percentage of the therapy fee is covered?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?
